Raydiance Salon was established in September of 2005 with the idea of inspiring creativity through hair and art, while positively affecting the community and people around us.

Bayard and I needed to find the area first. We spent months looking until we were lead to the downtown Bretts building. Although the vision was hard to see at first due to the condition of the space, we knew it would be perfect. We were drawn by the character and energy within the downtown area.

We started construction summer of 2005 and during the beginning of the project took over most of the general contracting jobs. Help from Kunkel Electric, Paulsen Architects, Focus Financial, Jim Rotert, and Jessie Ellerbroek was outstanding and made it so much easier for us. We learned the most when attempting to get everyone to work together and efficiently.

Finally September was here, and we needed to pass our inspection. The emergency exit was not yet finished, light fixtures still out, floor still unfinished, no front desk, (thank God for Sara Hanke), we had our amazing stylists and stations ready, and that was all that mattered. We passed with a sigh of relief!

Doors opened September 30th with Shannon, Krista, Sara and all their awaiting clients. By October 1st Andrea, Bryn and Sally joined us. It was an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
